What is the American Kettlebell Alliance?
The American Kettlebell Alliance (AKA) was founded in January 2012 with the purpose of promoting the growth of World-Class kettlebell lifting in the Americas. It is a simple purpose and with the help of our supporters AKA quickly became the largest and fastest growing kettlebell sport organization in the Americas.
The goal of the AKA is to promote kettlebell sport lifting and kettlebell education in the Americas to include lifters of all skill levels and ages. It was with that goal in mind the AKA founded All Americas Kettlebell Alliance to unite Canada, Canadian Kettlebell Alliance (CKA) and Mexico, Mexican Kettlebell Alliance (MKA) under one cooperative umbrella to provide a collaborative effort in the promotion of that goal.
The AKA works cooperatively in several aspects of kettlebell sport to:
Provide information regarding safe and effective training, technique and skills of kettlebell sport.
Organizing educational opportunities to include lifting clinics, judges clinics and professional educational CEU programs.
Sponsoring and hosting competitions and other events including the Arnold Classic and Mr. Olympia Sports Festival, the largest sports festivals in the United States.
Providing opportunities for clubs to run Club Affiliate Events and Fundraisers.
Keeping current on international trends in kettlebell sport.
Leading the industry in implementing progressive ideas and advancements in kettlebell sport.
Seeking partnerships with the most progressive kettlebell federations in the world.
The AKA is currently the United States Representative for the following major World Federations.
World Kettlebell Sport Federation (WKSF)
International Ketttlebell Marathon Federation (IKMF)
World Association of Kettlebell Sport Clubs (WAKSC)
We consider these federations the most progressive in providing World-Class competition while abiding by international laws governing elite athletic competition.
The AKA does not charge membership fees and is staffed strictly by volunteers. We welcome all individuals who promote kettlebell sport!
Top lifters in the United States can qualify at designated events to represent the USA in international competition for WKSF and IKMF World Championship competitions.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
